Basingstoke RFC support for Ark

Ark Cancer Centre Charity is proud to be the 2018-19 Charity of the Year of Basingstoke RFC President Dr Steve Tristram.

Basingstoke RFC members and supporters have certainly played their part in keeping Ark's £5million appeal total ticking upwards in recent years, and this year has already seen a successful charity quiz take place. The event in March was supported by people from many Basingstoke RFC local business sponsors, and it raised more than £1,250.

Steve said: “The rugby club has a proud tradition of being at the heart of the local community, and of helping good causes.

“I am delighted that my Charity of the Year support, and the backing of club members is helping Ark by raising funds for, and awareness of, the £5m appeal and cancer treatment centre project.”

Ark Cancer Centre Charity trustee Merv Rees said: “Thank you to Steve and everyone at Basingstoke RFC for their valued support in helping to deliver this much-needed unique local cancer treatment centre.”
