Jane and Nathan team up to help Ark

lnspirational MasterChef champion Jane Devonshire is teaming up with a fellow top Hampshire chef for a special event that will raise money for Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

Jane, who is a great supporter of Ark, will be joining forces with Nathan Cradduck, head chef at The Chestnut Horse, as they create a stunning seven-course tasting menu at a Hampshire Food Festival event on Thursday, July 5.

Jane and Nathan’s culinary creations will showcase Hampshire produce, and as well as delivering a wonderful experience for diners, the event will raise money for Ark, which is helping to fund a new cancer treatment centre.

Jane, who has cooked with the likes of Michel Roux and Marcus Wareing, said: "I am delighted to be joining Nathan for this special evening which will showcase some of Hampshire's wonderful food and support Ark, which is a very important charity to me."

Nathan added: “I am really looking forward to teaming up with Jane – I think we will learn a lot from each other. There will be plenty of Hampshire produce on the menu and some seasonal classics.”

Mother-of-four Jane remains much in demand, more than two years after she won the MasterChef UK crown in May 2016. She appears at food festivals and events all over the country, and September will see the launch of her first book.

Jane, from Four Marks, has twice battled cancer – something she did not reveal until after her MasterChef journey was over. She was treated for liver cancer by world-renowned surgeon Merv Rees, who is a trustee of Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

One of the most popular and acclaimed MasterChef champions, Jane’s triumph and the story behind her success has been a real inspiration to many people, and she has been determined to do what she can to support her Ark, which is one of her chosen charities.

Ark Cancer Centre Charity trustee Mr Rees said: “I am very grateful to Jane and Nathan for this show of support for the charity. Everyone who goes along on July 5 will enjoy a great evening and will know that they are also supporting a good cause.”

Tickets for this one-off event at The Chestnut Horse, in Easton, near Winchester, are £80-a-head and booking is essential. Bookable times are between 7.30pm and 9pm. To make a reservation, call The Chestnut Horse on 01962 779257.
