N-ice result for Ark at Bison and Zizzi Charity Night

It was a very n-ice result for Ark Cancer Centre Charity as generous fans of the Trane-sponsored Basingstoke Bison turned out in force to support a special evening at a long-standing sponsor of the Herd.

Fans had the pleasure of being waited on by the Herd’s ice hockey stars as the Bison players and Zizzi restaurant staff teamed up for the first of two charity evenings at Zizzi in London Street, Basingstoke.

Jackie is on a mission to be Ark's queen of the jungle

Charity champion Jackie Wicks is on a mission to conquer a jungle challenge and raise a four-figure sum as she embarks on her latest fundraising adventure in support of a good cause.

From November 2-10, Jackie will be taking part in the Dream Challenges Britain V Cancer quest which will see a group of people trek through stunning jungles and traditional Cambodian villages on route to a spectacular finish line at the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat.

FedsOnLegs complete a hat-trick for Ark

They’ve done it – the fabulous FedsOnLegs have completed a hat-trick of Great South Runs in support of Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

In 2016 and 2017, three Basingstoke police officers piled on the miles as they took part in the Simplyhealth Great South Run in support of Ark Cancer Centre Charity's £5million appeal – and on Sunday, the team went on the run again at the 2018 event.

Arkriders saddle up for 2019 Twin Towns Tour

They are Ark Cancer Centre Charity legends - and now the fabulous Arkriders are gearing up for the next chapter of their fundraising journey.

Since 2016, the Arkriders have raised more than £216,000 for Ark's £5million appeal that will help to fund the much-needed new NHS cancer treatment centre at Basingstoke hospital.

The Arkriders have travelled from John O'Groats to Land's End, London to Brighton, Basingstoke to Paris, and Basingstoke to Bournemouth, clocking up the miles and the pounds.

Super Susie takes on Everest hike for Ark

Susie Webster is an amazing lady. Less than two years after undergoing treatment for breast cancer, she is gearing up for a challenging fundraising hike to Everest because she wants to prove that there are no limits to what cancer survivors can do.

This weekend, mother-of-three Susie will join a group who will hike through the Solu Khumba in Nepal, from Lukla to above Everest Base Camp – walking between four and eight hours a day at altitude in testing conditions.

Fab five complete half-marathon for Ark

Five fab fundraisers went the extra 13.1 miles for Ark Cancer Centre Charity by taking part in the 2018 Basingstoke Half-Marathon.

Darren Barham, Mark Dolby, Darren Lovegrove, Faith Ruto and Raquel Searle all flew the flag for Ark at Sunday's event - and all five recorded impressive times on the challenging course.

Arkrider legend Mark swaps pedals for trainers

He's an Arkrider legend and Ark Cancer Centre Charity champion - and on Sunday, marvellous Mark Dolby will be flying the flag for Ark at the Basingstoke Half-Marathon.

Mark, who is a director of Ark Our Partner business supporter Beaufort Financial, has already chalked up several sponsored bike rides, half-marathons, and even a hair-raising abseil down a Hampshire landmark to raise funds for, and awareness of, Ark's £5million appeal to help fund the new Hampshire Hospitals NHS cancer treatment centre at Basingstoke hospital.

Darren goes the extra mile (again!) for Ark

When it comes to raising funds for Ark Cancer Centre Charity, dynamic Darren Lovegrove has really gone the extra mile - and he's getting ready to do it all again on Sunday.

Darren is marketing manager at Ark Our Partner business supporter Clarke & Son Solicitors, and he has played a key role in the fundraising drive that has seen the Basingstoke law firm raise more than £60,000 for Ark since 2015.

Last weekend, Darren and 18 fellow fundraisers were part of a Clarke & Son team that took part in a sponsored 13-mile River Thames London Bridges Walk in support of Ark.

Choirs will be on song for Ark

Two choirs will be on the same song sheet as they team up to support Ark Cancer Centre Charity this weekend.

St Lawrence Church, in Church Street, Alton, is the venue for the Autumn Charity Concert featuring Alton Community Choir and Basingstoke Hospital Male Voice Choir.

Tickets for the Saturday, October 6 concert, which starts at 7.30pm, are £5, and there will be a collection for Ark.
