Classic Car Rally to Highclere Castle

A procession of classic cars wound its way through north Hampshire to the beautiful grounds of Highclere Castle in memory of local farmer Geoff Saunders – and the event pulled in thousands of pounds for Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

Geoff, a popular farmer from Baughurst and Bentley enthusiast, was a staunch supporter of the charity up until his death in May 2013. He provided one of the Charity’s first donations - a very generous £12,500. After he passed away, his family picked up the fundraising baton.

Aldworth School was the place to be for a 50-year student reunion evening. Organised by a group of ex-pupils with over 400 past pupils reunited during the evening, the event raised over £1200 for the Charity.

Sandra Hubbard was inspired to raise money for the Ark Cancer Centre Charity after watching close friends battle cancer.

The 54-year-old grandmother-of-14, of Trinidad Close, Popley, had her brown hair cut off at Toni and Guy, in Festival Place, after taking the brave decision to adopt the dramatic new look to generate funds for the Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

Watched by a group of her close friends and family, Sandra, a mother-of-six, then had the remaining stubble dyed pink and a cancer ribbon and heart shaved into the back of her head.
