Ark100 team make successful half-marathon debut

The Ark100 team piled on the miles and pulled in the pounds at Sunday's Destination Basingstoke Phillips Half-Marathon.

A 30-strong group of runners took part as the charity fielded its first-ever team in the event, which was marking its fifth anniversary.

So far, the team members have raised more than £5,400 – a superb effort – and it is hoped that the final total will be boosted by some post-event donations.

Hospital football team supports Ark Cancer Centre Charity

A keenly-contested friendly football match between two hospital teams produced a winning result for a local cancer charity.

A Basingstoke Hospital FC team took on opponents from Southampton General Hospital FC in the charity match at Hampshire Football Association’s Winklebury headquarters in Basingstoke.

In a close-fought game, the Southampton side edged out their north Hampshire opponents 3-2 – but there was a positive result for Basingstoke-based Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

Let's Face It Celebrate 25 Years of Business

Vikki Kearns and her team at Odiham's Let's Face It salon celebrated 25 years in business with a number of fundraising events to support the Charity. Donations were made through Greenham Common's findmeagrant scheme and over £1,400 was raised as a result. Thank you to everybody who has been involved.

Double your donation!

We have received a huge boost to our campaign to raise £5 million. The Greenham Common Trust has agreed to match donations up to £500,000.

This means that each £1 raised will be matched with another £1. For example, a £50 donation will be worth £100. As an added bonus the charity will receive an extra 25% of the donation (subject to eligibility) from the Gift Aid scheme.
