Male voice choirs team up to support Ark

Basingstoke Hospital Male Voice Choir (BHMVC) and Hart Male Voice Choir are set to deliver an Autumnal boost for Ark Cancer Centre Charity by performing at a special joint concert.

All Saints’ Church, in Southern Road, Basingstoke, will be the venue for the charity concert on the evening of Wednesday, November 15 – and everyone who comes along is in for a marvellous musical feast.

The free-to-attend concert, at which donations will be collected for the charity, is the latest in a series of musical events that BHMVC, under the leadership of musical director Dai Ogborn, have been involved in as part of the choir’s long-running support for the charity, which is raising £5million towards the new HHFT cancer treatment centre.

It is the first time that the two renowned male voice choirs have performed together to support Ark, and there will be a wonderful and varied repertoire for the audience to enjoy at the concert, which will start at 7.30pm.

BHMVC president and Ark Cancer Centre Charity trustee Merv Rees said: “BHMVC have shown great support to Ark Cancer Centre Charity over several years, and the charity is grateful to them and Hart Male Voice Choir for teaming up for this latest concert.

“All Saints’ Church is a lovely building, and it has been the setting for memorable BHMVC concerts in the past.

"Thank you to everyone who comes along to hear these two marvellous choirs perform on November 15, and also for the donations that will be made to the charity.”
