Music from the Movies

Ark Cancer Centre Charity has been superbly supported by some of our local choirs - and on May 13, two groups will be sharing star billing at a Music from the Movies charity concert.

All Saints' Church, in Southern Road, Basingstoke will be the marvellous setting for the free-to-attend concert starring Basingstoke Hospital Male Voice Choir and Ooh Mama.

Music from Disney, Bond, and Les Miserables are among the treats in store for the audience who come along to the concert, which will start at 7.30pm.

There is no admission fee but donations will be collected in support of Ark Cancer Centre Charity's £5million fundraising appeal.

Mark Jones, director of fundraising and communications at the charity, said: "BHMVC and Ooh Mama have both supported the charity in the past, and the charity is grateful to their members for putting on this special concert of marvellous music from the movies.

"This will be a great evening, so I hope many people make a date in their diary and come along to hear these terrific choirs entertain them."

String quartet 4tissimo will add some extra musical sparkle to the charity concert, so come along and enjoy the show.
