Phillips Solicitors get on board

Phillips Solicitors has adopted Ark Cancer Centre Charity as its Charity of the Year. Phillips, which this year celebrates 30 years in business, has joined the growing band of businesses which have pledged to support Ark Cancer Centre Charity’s mission to raise £5million towards a trailblazing cancer treatment centre that will help and support people in the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust area.

The 50-strong team at Phillips Solicitors, whose offices are in London Street at the Top of the Town, will now be involved in raising funds for the charity appeal as well as awareness of the cancer treatment centre project.

Ark Cancer Centre Charity trustee Merv Rees went along to meet the Phillips team and to thank them for their support.

Merv said: “I am delighted that the team at Phillips Solicitors are supporting the charity and this important project. Their support will help to make a real difference and it is great that they have joined the growing band of businesses which are raising funds for, and awareness of, the charity and the cancer treatment centre project.”

Howard Gardener, senior partner at Phillips Solicitors, said he and the team are looking forward to supporting Ark Cancer Centre Charity through various fundraising events.

Howard said: “This is a milestone year for Phillips Solicitors and as part of our 30th anniversary, we are delighted to be supporting the work of Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

“As a company that is proud to have a strong commitment to the Basingstoke area, and which has a track record of supporting local good causes, our staff are delighted to support a charity and project that will make a telling and long-term contribution to the health and well-being of local people.”
