'Tis the season for Christmas carols - and Ark Cancer Centre Charity is delighted to be one of the charities that will benefit from a special carol service at Basingstoke Town Football Club.

The Social Club at the Ark Cancer Charity Stadium will be the venue for the festive event which is taking place on the evening of Monday, December 19.

With the new season less than two weeks away, the sign welcoming football fans to Basingstoke Town FC's Ark Cancer Centre Charity Stadium is now in place.

The team's stadium has been renamed for the 2016-17 season following a trailblazing show of support by supporters and officials at the club. The significant backing for the charity is believed to be the first time that a club in the football league pyramid have renamed their stadium after a charity for a whole season.

Fans and directors of Basingstoke Town FC have given a trailblazing show of support to a local good cause by agreeing to rename their ground as the Ark Cancer Charity Stadium for next season.

The significant backing for the charity is believed to be the first time that a club in the football league pyramid have renamed their stadium after a charity for a whole season.Support for the proposal, which will be part of a partnership between the club and charity for the 2016-17 season, came at an end-of-season fans’ forum on May 6.
