Team Champion riders raise more than £40k

There were cheers and beers as a team of charity cyclists celebrated a marvellous fundraising feat in support of Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

The 24-strong Team Champion The Wacky Riders were among thousands of cyclists who took part in Bike 4 Cancer’s 58-mile London to Brighton bike ride on September 11.

The cyclists were all raising money for the charity’s £5million appeal.

It was hoped that the total would hit £30,000 – but at a get-together to celebrate the success of the fundraising event, it was revealed that the final total has in fact topped £40,000.
