Fab five complete half-marathon for Ark

Five fab fundraisers went the extra 13.1 miles for Ark Cancer Centre Charity by taking part in the 2018 Basingstoke Half-Marathon.

Darren Barham, Mark Dolby, Darren Lovegrove, Faith Ruto and Raquel Searle all flew the flag for Ark at Sunday's event - and all five recorded impressive times on the challenging course.

They are fabulous supporters who have really gone the extra mile for Ark Cancer Centre Charity - and now Clarke & Son Solicitors are looking for some runners to join them as they pile on more miles and pull in more pounds.

The dynamic Clarke & Son team have raised more than £55,000 for Ark between 2015-16 and 2017-18, and they are now on a mission to add a further £15,000 to that total in 2018-19.

Magnificent seven rise to abseil challenge

They've done it - a magnificent seven-strong team from Clarke & Son Solicitors have completed an awesome abseil challenge in support of Ark Cancer Centre Charity. 

The dynamic staff from the firm of legal eagles, based in Winchester Road, Basingstoke, have raised £55,000 for Ark Cancer Centre Charity since 2015, and they are on a mission to add a further £15,000 to that total in 2018-19.

Legal eagle Marie flies high on wing walk

SHE'S done it! Legal eagle Marie Pym defied her fear of heights to soar into a sky on a wing walk that has raised more than £1,000 for Ark Cancer Centre Charity and was a great tribute to her late brother.

Family and friends gathered at Chiltern Park Aerodrome, in Ipsden, Oxfordshire, to watch marvellous Marie achieve the awesome feat of soaring into the sky on top of a bi-plane - and there were cheers and applause as she completed the daring challenge.

A successful Charity Golf Day has put the dynamic team at a Basingstoke law firm on course for another year of fabulous fundraising.

Clarke & Son Solicitors, based in Winchester Road, was one of the first Our Partner corporate supporters of Ark Cancer Centre Charity in February 2015 – and since then, they have raised £55,000 for Ark’s campaign to help fund a much-needed local cancer treatment centre.

Ark is Clarke & Son’s Charity of the Year again in 2018-19, and the team have set themselves a £15,000 fundraising target over the 12 months.

Clarke & Son smash £50,000 fundraising target

It was an ambitious fundraising target – but legal eagles from a Basingstoke law firm have absolutely smashed their goal of raising £50,000 for Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

Clarke & Son Solicitors, based in Winchester Road, was one of the first Our Partner corporate supporters of the fledgling charity in February 2015 – and the team also supported Ark’s £5million appeal, which will help to fund a unique local cancer treatment centre, in 2016-17.

Ark daredevils gear up for abseil

Ark Cancer Centre Charity supporters who have a head for heights are set to abseil down an iconic Hampshire landmark to raise funds for the charity.

The ultimate Emirates Spinnaker Tower experience gives members of the public an opportunity to abseil down the side of the spectacular Portsmouth building.

Various dates between Friday, March 30 and Monday, August 27 have been designated as Public Abseil dates, and several Ark supporters have already signed up for the breathtaking challenge.

Half-Marathon heroes go the extra mile for Ark

They will certainly be feeling it today, but many congratulations to the more than 50 runners who completed the Basingstoke Half-Marathon in support of Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

A 50-strong team from Basingstoke Half-Marathon headline sponsor Phillips Solicitors and a three-strong team from fellow Our Partner Ark Cancer Centre Charity supporters Clarke & Son Solicitors went the extra 13.1 miles for Ark.

Both sets of runners have been fundraising through The Good Exchange, meaning that every pound they are sponsored will be match-funded by Greenham Common Trust.

Legal eagles have a ball and raise £22,500 for Ark

Legal eagles from a well-known Basingstoke law firm and fellow Ark Cancer Centre Charity supporters really had a ball at a black-tie event that raised £22,500 for the good cause.

Oakley Hall was the setting for a night of fun and fundraising as Clarke & Son Solicitors held a glittering Charity Ball – the firm’s most ambitious event of a three-year campaign to raise £50,000 for the charity.
