It was a super Saturday for Ark Cancer Centre Charity as thousands of pounds were added to the £5million fundraising campaign.

A busy day for the charity saw funds being raised at a Basingstoke RFC sponsors lunch, the annual Hampshire Hospitals Pantomime Players show, and a special charity concert starring a Blondie tribute band.

Unum vote of support for Ark

Ark Cancer Centre Charity has received a great show of support from community-focused employees at one of Basingstoke’s leading companies.

After a staff vote, the 230-plus team at the Basing View offices of leading employee benefits provider Unum have decided that Ark will be their Charity of the Year for 2018 and 2019.

Leading HGV firms gear up to support Ark

Ark Cancer Centre Charity has made a great start to 2018 by adding two more leading firms to its family of Our Partner corporate supporters.

Rotary Concert will help Ark

Good music and good causes are set to be a winning combination as a rousing annual charity concert raises the rafters and pounds at a world-famous Basingstoke venue.

The Anvil is the perfect place to see and hear great music being performed, and on Sunday, January 28, The Rotary Club of Basingstoke Deane will be hosting another fabulous and memorable event at the award-winning concert hall.

The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines will be centre stage as they entertain the audience by playing their way through an impressive, and wide-ranging, repertoire.

Male voice choirs team up to support Ark

Basingstoke Hospital Male Voice Choir (BHMVC) and Hart Male Voice Choir are set to deliver an Autumnal boost for Ark Cancer Centre Charity by performing at a special joint concert.

All Saints’ Church, in Southern Road, Basingstoke, will be the venue for the charity concert on the evening of Wednesday, November 15 – and everyone who comes along is in for a marvellous musical feast.

The Tea Bar in London Street, Basingstoke, was the venue for the latest fundraiser, and 12 teams from various local businesses took part.

Bison and Zizzi serve up treat for fans and Ark

Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison players are set to serve up a treat for fans of the Herd and a fundraising boost for Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

Long-time Bison sponsor Zizzi will be opening their doors to Bison fans on Wednesday, November 8 for the first of three charity nights which will see some of the Herd become waiters for the evening. 

Bison head coach Doug Sheppard and several members of the team will be on hand to serve, and chat to, the diners who come along to the popular Top of The Town restaurant in Basingstoke.

Clarke & Son round up more support for Ark

They are great Our Partner supporters of Ark Cancer Centre Charity – so another round of applause please for Clarke & Son Solicitors for organising a charity rounders evening.

The fun contest saw four teams taking on each other in a round-robin contest at Basingstoke RFC's Down Grange ground.

A team from RSM Basingstoke were the overall winners and were delighted to take home the winners' wine.

Phoenix Wealth team are on their way

They're on their way!

At just after 8am, a 13-strong team from Phoenix Wealth set off on a one-day bike ride from Basingstoke to Birmingham - and Ark Cancer Centre Charity will be one of the charities to benefit from the funds that are raised.

The Basingstoke-based staff at Phoenix - formerly AXA Wealth - have been supporting Ark as their Charity of the Year during 2016 and 2017, and the latest fundraising feat will see three members of the team piling on the pedal power for Ark, while 10 other colleagues from Wythall raise money for their office's chosen charity.

A team from Ark Cancer Centre Charity Our Partner supporters Phoenix Wealth are gearing up for a one-day bike ride to Birmingham to pull in more pounds for the charity.

The Basingstoke-based staff at Phoenix, formerly AXA Wealth, have been supporting Ark as their Charity of the Year during 2016 and 2017, and the latest fundraising feat will see three members of the team piling on the pedal power next Wednesday. 

September 13 is ‘Cycle to Work’ day, a national event which encourages everyone to take to two wheels and cycle to work on at least one day.
